Hello, I'm Racheal, the photographer behind Racheal Trail Photography.
With over 15 years behind the camera and more than eight years specialising in maternity and newborn photography, I've had the privilege of capturing some of life's most precious beginnings.
I'm also a mum and grandmother of five, so I understand just how quickly those beautiful little moments pass.
My approach is calm, patient and personal. Whether you're celebrating your pregnancy or welcoming your newest family member, I want you to feel completely comfortable, cared for and beautifully guided.

My journey into photography began with a love for the landscapes of New Zealand. What started as a fascination with light, colour and the beauty around me eventually became a passion for capturing the people who make life special.
Where It All Began
I first discovered my love of photography through the beautiful landscapes of New Zealand.
Those early years taught me to appreciate natural light, thoughtful composition and the little details that can turn a photograph into something timeless.
Finding My Calling
Life on the farm brought me closer to home and opened my eyes to another kind of beauty, the connection between children and families.
That love gradually grew into maternity and newborn photography, where I found my true calling in capturing life's most precious beginnings.

Years spent on the farm have shaped the way I approach every session, with patience, calmness and care.
I believe beautiful photographs begin with making people feel comfortable. There's no need to know how to pose or worry about getting everything perfect. I'll gently guide you throughout.
