From planning your maternity session to welcoming your newest little love, I want every part of your photography experience to feel relaxed, beautifully organised and completely taken care of.
Here are some of the questions families ask most often.
When should I book my maternity session?
I recommend booking during your second trimester to secure your preferred date. Maternity portraits are generally best photographed between 30 and 34 weeks, or around 26 to 30 weeks if you're expecting twins.
When should newborn photographs be taken?
In-home posed newborn sessions are ideally held when your baby is between 7 and 21 days old. Booking during pregnancy allows me to plan around your expected due date, with your session confirmed once your little one arrives.
Do you provide outfits and maternity gowns?
Absolutely. My studio client wardrobe includes over 150 maternity gowns, dresses and fabrics, along with selected outfits for babies and children. For in-home newborn sessions, I bring a carefully selected collection of wraps, props and accessories.
Where do maternity sessions take place?
Maternity sessions take place at my South Auckland studio, with beautiful nearby outdoor locations available as part of the Deluxe Collection. Outdoor options include natural settings such as the pond and creek, with seasonal locations available when suitable.
What newborn photography styles do you offer?
You can choose from In-Home Posed Newborn, In-Studio Wrapped Newborn or Guided Lifestyle Newborn photography in my studio. Each experience offers a different way to capture your baby's earliest days, from carefully styled portraits to natural family connections.
Can we split our newborn session into two?
Yes. My Signature and Legacy in-home newborn collections offer a split-session option. Your baby's posed portraits are photographed in the comfort of your home, with family portraits completed at my studio a little later, giving you more time to recover and enjoy the experience.
When will I receive my photographs?
Once your session payment is complete, your private proofing gallery is usually available the same day. After you've selected your favourite images, professional editing begins. Your completed photographs are generally delivered within 4 to 5 days of your selections.
When is payment due, and how can I pay?
A $50 deposit secures your booking, with the remaining balance due at the conclusion of your session, before your proofing gallery is provided. Card payments are available through my portable EFTPOS machine, and Afterpay is also available for flexible payments.
