The answer is yes, pets can absolutely be included in maternity sessions.

• reasonably calm

• safely handled if needed

For outdoor sessions especially, bringing a partner or family member to help when pets are not actively in photos can be very helpful.

These sessions require additional planning to ensure everything stays calm and safe for both mum and horse.

Soft natural locations and relaxed posing generally work best.
